Who We Are

HopeDesk (“HopeDesk,” the “Service”) is a service of Ask Phil AI, LLC (“Ask Phil AI,” “we,” “us,” or “our”), a limited liability company organized under the laws of Texas.

This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect from people who use the HopeDesk chat interface (“Users” or “you”), how we use it, and what choices you have.

Important Notice: You Are Talking with a Digital Assistant

HopeDesk is an automated, AI-powered conversation tool — not a human being. You are not talking with a pastor, staff member, counselor, therapist, or any other real person.

HopeDesk can be a calm, judgment-free place to think out loud and find encouragement rooted in faith — but it is not a substitute for a licensed counselor or therapist, professional mental-health care, medical advice, or the support of real people who know and love you.

Crisis and Safety Situations (Please Read)

HopeDesk is not a crisis service and is not equipped to handle emergencies, including thoughts of suicide, self-harm, or harm to others.

If you or someone you know is in crisis or having thoughts of suicide or self-harm:

  • Stop using HopeDesk and reach out to a real person right away.
  • Call or text 988 — the Suicide & Crisis Lifeline (available 24/7).
  • Text HOME to 741741 — the Crisis Text Line.
  • Call 911 if there is immediate danger to yourself or others.

HopeDesk will point you toward qualified human resources (such as 988 or local emergency services) when it detects potential crisis language. It does not provide counseling, therapy, or crisis intervention, and it cannot contact emergency services on your behalf.

How Long We Keep Information

Chat interactions are retained only as long as reasonably necessary for system maintenance, quality improvement, and safety purposes, then deleted or anonymized.

We use reasonable security measures to protect information. No system is 100% secure.

We may update this Privacy Policy. Material changes will be noted in the chat interface. The “Last updated” date reflects the current version.

HopeDesk Terms of Service

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of HopeDesk (the “Service”). By using the Service, you agree to these Terms.

  1. The Service. HopeDesk is an AI-powered conversation tool that offers a calm, judgment-free space to talk through what you’re carrying — questions about life, faith, doubt, and hard days — with encouragement rooted in Scripture and the beliefs and teachings of CrossCreek Church. It is not a substitute for professional counseling, therapy, mental-health care, medical advice, legal advice, personal prayer, or conversation with a pastor, trusted friend, or other qualified person.
  2. AI Limitations. You acknowledge that:
    • Responses are generated by artificial intelligence and may be incomplete, inaccurate, or theologically imprecise.
    • HopeDesk is not a pastor, counselor, or therapist, and is not a replacement for the Holy Spirit or real human relationships.
    • You should always test answers against Scripture and seek wise counsel from qualified people for important decisions.
  3. Acceptable Use. You agree not to use the Service for unlawful purposes, to harass others, to submit harmful or illegal content, or to attempt to misuse or reverse-engineer the system.
  4. Crisis and Emergencies. HopeDesk is not an emergency or crisis service. If you are in crisis or someone is in danger, immediately call 988 or 911, text HOME to 741741, or contact a trusted person. Do not rely on HopeDesk to provide real-time help or to contact authorities.
  5. Your Content. You retain rights to the messages you submit. You grant Ask Phil AI, LLC a limited license to process those messages solely to operate and improve the Service.
  6. Disclaimers and Limitation of Liability. The Service is provided “as is.” To the fullest extent permitted by law, Ask Phil AI, LLC disclaims all warranties and limits liability as set forth in the original draft.
  7. Governing Law. These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas. Any disputes shall be resolved exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Tarrant County, Texas.
  8. Changes and Miscellaneous. We may update these Terms. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance. These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy, form the entire agreement.
